The Beer-Sheva Mandolin Orchestra of the Samuel Rubin Municipal Conservatory ISRAEL.

It's all started when Mr. Nathansohn, a violin and mandolin teacher,
emigrated from Russia in 1971 and arrived to the Beer-Sheva municipal music school,
which is located in the southern part of Israel.

Mr. Nathansohn worked with the orchestra that he himself found, 
the orchestra in Mr. Nathansohn days was the proud of Beer-Sheva and the Negev.  

He started from a class of 4 players to an orchestra of 40 players, 
Mila Kozorovitsky was the assistant and the piano player in the orchestra. 
She was and still the "mother" of the orchestra's players, 
she continue work with the orchestra in Mr. Hhaimovich time too.

The orchestras in Mr. Nathansohn days recorded 2 records and perform abroad in two tours.
After Mr. Simcha Nathansohn retire Mr. Lev Khaimovich came to work with the orchestra
and continue what Simcha create. Lev added three flute players and one clarinet player, 
he added also a mandocello player, drum kit, and percussion players and an organ player, 
the orchestra tour again, and perform in Germany.
The orchestra continues to work and planing on touring and perform in the U.S.A.


Simch Nathanson
Simcha was graduated from The Academy of Music and Art in Leningrad, U.S.S.R.
He came to Israel in 1972 and after a short adjustment period started building the orchestra, 
The musical methods he brought with him were unknown in Israel and fascinated musicians both
in Israel and abroad. 
Mr. Nathanson successfully introduced the mandolin to people all over the Negev.      


Lev Khaimovich 
Lev acquired his musical education in the musical school in Lwow and later,
in the National Academy, in the class of the known professor Kazakov.
He is a graduate in performing and conducting. 
During his studies he played as konzertmaister of musical ensembles
and of the Academy orchestra.
He played as a soloist and won several competitions.

In 1974 he played solo with the National Ensemble of Vilnius "Concertino".
With them he toured in Lithuania, around USSR, Germany and Czechoslovakia.
Lev played and recorded his playing for the radio and television.
In 1990 he immigrated to Israel.
Since 1992 he works as a teacher, conductor and musical director of the
Municipal Mandolin Orchestra of Beer Sheva.
